Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
Booklet helps freelancers and sole proprietors turn receipts into organized Schedule C records. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email support@usebooklet.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your name and email address, provided when you sign in (including via Google or Apple). We use a third-party authentication provider (Clerk) to manage sign-in.
- Receipt content. Images and PDFs you upload, and the information extracted from them — vendor, date, amounts, the last four digits of a payment card if printed on the receipt, line items, and any notes you add.
- Tax and mileage inputs. Figures you enter to use the product, such as projected annual income, filing status, and mileage entries.
- Subscription and purchase information. Your subscription status and purchase history, handled by Apple (in-app purchase) or Stripe (web). We never receive or store full card numbers.
- Technical data. Limited diagnostic and error information (via Sentry) to keep the service reliable. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
How we use your information
- To extract, categorize, and organize your receipts for Schedule C.
- To compute deductible totals, mileage deductions, and tax estimates.
- To authenticate you and keep your account and data secure.
- To process your subscription and provide customer support.
- To diagnose problems and improve reliability.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your receipts or account data to train publicly available AI models.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Booklet and its users.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual receipts at any time, and you can request deletion of your entire account and associated data by emailing support@usebooklet.com. Some records may be retained as required for legal, tax, or fraud- prevention purposes.
